Ohmark Controls Private Limited is an Electrical Engineering Enterprises started in 1984 at Bangalore. Ever since, the company specializes in design & manufacture of motor controls and a complete range of resistors with associated switching panels. It was set up by some ace technocrats having exposure to a wide range of industries such as steel, mining, aluminium, cranes, material handling, ports, etc.
FIELD OF ACTIVITY
The company supplies applications for very large motors, i.e., 10000HP or even larger. Dynamic Braking resistors for a large DC motors for rolling mills and for AC Drives (VVVF/Brake Choppers) is our speciality. Neutral Grounding Resistors for power systems upto 33kV or higher and resistive load bank sets with switching for generator testing comes are its regular range. Its main products are Dynamic Braking Resistors for Main Line Electric Locomotives having 2400KW continuous rating.
In particular the company has specialized in starting/braking of very large regenerative conveyors. It has completed jobs of 1200KW/6.6kV downhill iron conveyor drives (Braking Resistors + Contactor Panels) and Starting/Braking Resistors for 12 nos. 1250KW/6.6kV motors for lignite conveyors.

EXPORTS
Its major exports includes Slip Ring Motor Starters for Re-Rolling Mills, Crushers, Pumps, Rubber Mills etc. to a wide clientele located at Dubai, Muscat, Egypt, Kenya, Uganda, Singapore, Bangladesh & China.
INFRASTRUCTURE
The company's manufacturing & assembly premises cover 6000 sq.ft. and is supplied with captive power generation. Engineering + Design Activity, Marketing, Administration are centralized and handles by the factory. It is well connected by all the modern day communication tools like fax/e-mail/internet.
QUALITY ASSURANCE
Adequate quality control facilities are provided and built-in procedures exist for Quality Control of incoming materials/checks during manufacturing/assembly testing of final products. Finished items are also subjected to routine tests as per Quality Assurance plans mutually agreed with customers. Type testing facilities for resistors are available in-house to conduct simulated load tests on resistors. Full scale tests are conducted by recognised test houses such as CPRI, Bangalore.
